A few weeks ago Tinkebell. called me and told me she was making a film about the phosphate issue we apparently have (I was unaware of this). She told me she needed music and asked if maybe I would like to provide it! We talked again later and she told me she would like Lady by the River.
And so I recorded this song last week, and got some help of Rinkie Bartels by mixing (well, he did all the mixing). Well, this is all of course a really short description of how it went.
Next week, on Thursday, the film will premiere in Rotterdam at the World Food Festival (for which she was invited to do a project) and my song will be in it! Hihi, so weird..! I'm still a bit in the 'restoring the faith I have in myself' fase (very beautiful and English sentence), so this is weird. But also really helping.
I will also be playing the song at the premiere, which will be the first time that I'll be performing alone since.. well.. since the last time Katinka (Tinkebell.) asked me to play actually haha! I guess I really owe her a lot of the faith-restoring thing because it seems she has faith in me (was that understandable?)
Anyway, I really suggest you go watch that movie. Tonight Katinka will be at Pauw&Witteman, and you can join and watch the premiere in Rotterdam next week. Check SAVE OUR CHILDREN and/or the Facebook page. The film will also be on her site, so if coming to Rotterdam isn't an option, you could watch it there if you're interested.
Wellllllll.... ahm.. I'm doing some big thinking here, not at the moment but at this time in my life (ahw gosh), I want to DO STUFFFFFF!!! (whoopee!)
If I can put my plans into words better than just calling it DO STUFF than I'll come back to you.
Oe, and I started doing songwriting coachings this week, which is COOL!
And I have my first songwriting lesson of the year, with a new teacher, so that is SCARY! ;-)
But I'll survive.
